Hi everyone,
after I checked on various forums but none seems to address this particular problem I tought I should ask hier and hope someone can help me. I am completely lay in this thing graphic cards
When I connect the eGPU via V.8 beast, it starts running for few seconds and then stops (Fans run and stop but leds stay on).
I first tought it was because the eGPU didn’t get enough power. I then change the Asus which has no additional power supply pins with the MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Gaming 4G. The MSI has an additional 6 pin power supply entry. Nothing changed!
I then connected the eGPU directly to the 12pin-output of the PSU and still nothing changed.
When an additional monitor is connected to the eGPU (HDMI - pin) the computer starts loading and gets stuck on the HP logo, the in-built screen stays black and still nothing changes on the eGPU side.
When I uninstall the AMD radeon graphic card drivers the computer doesn’t recognize the external monitor anymore.
Maybe it is worth mentioning that the led on my V.8 beast dock is green (on many youtube tutorials, it lights red.)
Could it be an incompatibility somewhere, with win 10, or this particular HP laptop? Or maybe the V.8 beast is not functioning properly? Should uninstall the wireless drivers. (I am connecting to internet trough a Wireless adapter stick).
I have no ideas what I should do now . I am stuck in this for almost 2 weeks now. Any help will be very welcome!
