Everytime I play a game that I'm 95%sure my laptop can run on the highest graphics I get these stutters that I can see without even needing an fps counter.
Gpu:Gtx 1050ti
Cpu: Intel core i7-7700hq
8 gigs of ram
I've ran multiple scans on multiple anti virus and had nothing detected. I've downloaded 2 different driver boosters and updated all my drivers. I've changed nvidia settings to the best performance and still get the stutter. It's only while gaming too it doesn't happen any other time. Also tried installing games on different hard drives and still stutters

Solution

This is a laptop, and this is one of the drawbacks to gaming laptops - heat.

To reduce it, clean out your vents and fans with compressed air, decrease the temperature in the room, and try to increase airflow to your components

Well driver booster was after the stuttering happening but I'll uninstall it anyways. I also have stuttering in gta 5 but that could be understandable and also call of duty 4 which I think I should be able to run fine

If you set everything down a notch in settings (for example, if you run on all high, set to medium) do you still get stuttering?

Also, you may want to monitor your temps with Speccy or HWmonitor

Yes I loweredd my settings and stuttering still happened. But when I checked task manager performance tab my co usage spiked. If it would be at like 20 it would go to sixty of it were 60 it would go to 100 when the stuttering happens. Even on lower graphics

Can't really check at the moment but one thing that I can say is that I didn't always have the stutter issue so can it still be an overheating problem even though I didn't always have it

I went into settings and went to check for updates and it says it's up to date but when I launch a software I use it says I don't have the latest version
