So I am replacing my old motherboard with a newer and more updated one but I came across a few plug ins I have not seen. They say: Power SW, + p LED, - P LED, Reset SW, and HDD LED. What do these plug ins do and do I need them plugged in and if so where on my motherboard can I plug them in.

Solution

These are front panel switches - they are the connectors for the power switch, reset switch, power LED + and -, and the hard drive activity LED. They go usually to the bottom right of your motherboard, when looking such a way that RAM slots look vertical and PCI-E slots look horizontal.

Seriously? You couldn't decipher this? Front panel connectors go in there.
Power SW - power switch;
+ p LED, - P LED - power led (+/-) ;
Reset SW - reset switch;
HDD LED -hdd led.

Which connector goes where is usually mapped just around these pins, and if it is not, it might be at the back of the motherboard or in the motherboard manual. That should help you figure out which connectors goes into what pin.

Solution
Read the MoBo Manual.... it will describe each one and show a picture of where they go. Tho the kinda tell you what they are:

HD LED... the is the LED that shows you there is HD activity
Power Switch - This goes to the switch - that turns on the power so the OX starts up
Reset SW - The is the reset switch that lets you reset a frozen PC and restart the system.

Ignore him, some people think people are born with knowledge of computers -_- .

Okay. Thanks a lot. The picture was a great.

Oh. I understood, that you read those labels on motherboard and didn't know, what to do with them.
But you obviously found front panel plugs and didn't know, where to put them.

RTFM dude. ;)
(read the f** manual)

If you at least mentioned your motherboard model name, someone could find appropriate info for you.

Woah Chill fam. Why u so mad?

What really? You don't need the model of a motherboard to tell where the connectors are - it's basic knowledge that they're almost always on the bottom right!

Well - there are motherboard models, that have quite unreadable front panel info on them (or no info at all).
You should always be reading manual, if something is uncertain.
