Hey,

I got a new pc with windows 10 and i just normally connected my raid0 in to it in AHCI mode and the raid0 worked fine. But once i had intel rapid storage system installed it did not recognize the drivers. After i did go my motherboard setting and set sata mode to RAID,

I got the following display

Name - RAID0
Level - RAID0 (STRIPE)
STRIP - 128kb
Size - 3000TB
Status - FAILED
Bootable - NO

and i was not able to boot to windows in raid mode.
after switching back to AHCI mode the raid is gone and i can't access it anymore.
Is there something i can do to get stuff back?

Solution
Raid can be very controller specific, and if the controller was on the mobo then that might be why it's struggling, it shouldn't have worked in AHCI at all IMO.

Consider the data lost, move on, abandon raid0.

I did not take any backup since i had no idea it would ruin the entire raid and make it unusable. And i mostly had random data on it. no windows or anything.

As has been said many, many, many times...RAID 0 should never be run without a strong, tested, backup situation.

yeh should have done that, But i thought changing to RAID mode would have just worked fine since no problems in AHCI mode.

I have sold old computer parts already.
