Hello everyone.

i wanted to put an SSD into my Lenovo G510 besides the 1TB SSHD that was already in there. So i bought an HDD caddy so i can replace the DVD drive with the 1TB SSHD since i'll put the SSD into the main SATA slot.

The SSD works fine, but the SSHD doesn't. The SSHD shows up in the boot menu, but there's NOTHING in disk management, device management or "My Computer".

The same thing happens when i swap the SSHD into the primary SATA slot and the SSD into the caddy, the SSHD boots up fine (Windows 10 is also installed on this) and the SSD shows up in the BIOS menu, but not in disk management, etc., etc..

But then i have a SATA to USB controller so i can convert an internal drive to an external via USB. Then i plug that USB controller into the caddy where the SSHD is in, and BOOM...! it shows up perfectly in "My Computer", disk management and device manager...! (the same with the SSD in the caddy connected to the USB controller)

Does anyone have any clue why it does this? I really want a secondary drive for the laptop since 120GB isn't enough for all the games i have... THANKS!

Sincerly
