I'm using an internal 2.5 inch SSD as my boot drive and am trying to add a M.2 drive as secondary storage. When I installed the M.2 drive and restarted my computer it booted to the BIOS and said No Boot Drives Detected. When I removed the M.2 drive my computer started as normal.

Here's what I'm using:
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero
CPU: Intel i7-7700K
OS: Windows 10 Home
OS Drive: Crucial MX300 525GB SATA 2.5 Inch SSD
M.2 Drive: WD Blue 250GB Internal SSD

Let me know if you need any other info or have suggestions for troubleshooting. Thanks!

Good find. I didn't see this in the online manual.

OP: Move your boot drive connection to another SATA connector.

The thing that went immediately through my head is that many (most?) motherboards disable some SATA ports when using an M.2 drive. I have not checked the manual for your MB concerning this though.
