Hi!
So my current PC build is:

  • • GPU: RX-470 4GB
    • PSU: BeQuiet 500W Straight 10 Power
    • RAM: 8GB DDR3
    • CPU: AMD FX-4300
    • MOBO: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
It's quite decent and it serves me well however I want to get rid of this nasty FX CPU. I would like to get some Intel and was considering i5-6500 with Gigabyte H110M-S2H MOBO. Is it a worthwhile upgrade? What do you guys think? Are there any better options (I would like upgrade around that price). Thanks in advance

If you aren't overclocking, get 2133mhz. It's not point end getting higher speeds if you don't plan on overclocking. HyperX, Corsair, G SKill, Crucial are your go to names for RAM. You can get 2400mhz, but you wouldn't be taking advantage of it.
An i5 would blow that thing out of the water. However, you could go the Ryzen route if productivity is important to you. It's excellent at gaming, and make it worth while. Getting the R5 1500 or 1600 with a nice B350 would do you just fine. It also has overclocking as well.

If you are hard press to trust AMD (I wouldn't blame you) getting the i5-6500 is that sweet spot for gaming. Pairing it with the RX 470 is even better and should get you medium setting sat 1080 in most games..some can be turned to high or even ultra.

At the end of the day, the choice is really yours. Depends on what's available and what the pricing is in your country.

I agree. Both options are great.

Alright, regardless of my choice, I also need DDR4 RAM as both MOBOs are DDR4 and I believe DDR4 are not backwards compatible, am I right? So what 8GB RAM would you suggest?
