So I accidentally dropped a screw into my PSU. I placed a cover Over the PSU in case but that damn screw somehow slipped under the cover and felt right into the PSU. Thankfully it is a modular PSU and it is brand new so I hope there will be no aftermath After this bad experience. I disconnected it and started shaking it Like crazy upside down. It didnt take long and the screw was out Quickly. My question is could it cause some damage while the screw was bouncing inside or from shaking it? The PC booted up fine After connecting everything back but I still have some doubts.

Solution
if there wasn't electricity flowing on the components, no, not at all

a psu has protections, if a 2 grams screw made damages, well, that is by definitio a bad psu

all components comes covered with plastic, shields and tape isolating them form other components, damage any of that with a screw, only if it traveled at speed of sound, gravity only allows a screw to travel perhaps at 15kmh, with that low mass, no, not a chance, but tell us, are you the hulk? perhaps you pulled out a fan blade, or pulled outh the fan shield, perhaps pulled out all wires inside?

if not, just enjoy your new pc, don't worry

the problem, theoretically, would be if you didn't took out the screw, that is somewhat dangerous, not really, a not ideal situation

The whole PC was disconnected at the time so I should not worry at all then?
