I shut down my PC a few minutesago, just as windows shut down I saw an error dialoge box appear, it read 0x000000000..... something, I couldn't read the whole thing before the screen went blank.

I decided to boot the PC again to see if everything is alright and after pressing the power button it started cycling. The RAM RGB and power LEDs on the motherboard would come on and then turn off with a distinct CLICK sound. I think the CPU and case fans were also starting and stopping, but there was no signal to the monitor.

I tried long pressing the power button it didn't stop the cycling. Then I did the following I read online: turned off the supply from the UPS, unplugged the power cord from the PSU socket on the PC, turned the PSU switch off and pressed the power button for then seconds. I pluggedi t back and started it, and this time it booted normaly but there was a loud brrrr sound for about 2 seconds after the RAM and Mobo lights came up.

MY specs are:
Ryzen 5 1600 with sotck cooler no OC
ASUS Dual X 580 8GB
MSI B350m Mortar
G. Skill Tridentz 8GB x 2 3000MHz running at XMP profile 1 at 2667MHz
SeaSonic S12G 650W
1 KVA UPS
Windows 10 Home

The following file is the log of system events from when I shut down the PC initially.

Hah, the sound disappeared on its own. I thought it was peculiar as there were no changes in hardware and software or running conditions, but it's been gone for almost two weeks. Could the PSU still be faulty?

Also since one of the events was a "....memory could not be read error", I ran windows memory diagnostic tool but it didn't find anything.

This happened again when I booted this morning. Even unplugging the PSU and long pressing the power button didn't work. I had to press the power button really hard during the cycling for it to start. This time, the RAM RGB didn't light up during the cycling.

Can someone please please help with this? I don't know what else to do to diagnose/fix this and I don't see why this thread is being overlooked, if any more info is needed please tell me and I will put it up or anything else you may need to help with this.

OK so I cam across that after the problematic boot, my memory was set to 2133 MHz even though XMP profile 1 at 2667 MHz was activated. I turned the profile off, restarted, then turned it on again. The memory was back to 2667 MHz. But the next boot again went into cycling. I fiddled with the power button and got it to boot somehow(yeah I know) and again the memory was set to 2133 MHz. I have since turned the XMP profile off and the problem has not occurred.

But it was running fine at 2667 MHz for a month? Does this sudden problem mean the mobo maybe dying or something?
