So, I have right now an Athlon X4 860k and a Radeon HD 7950 IceQ 3GB as my GPU but I want to be able to play more games at higher frame rates, for example, i want to play Battlefield 1 at 30-60 fps and when COD WWII comes out I want to be able to play it at medium to high graphics with good framerates what should I do? Should I upgrade at all or is there something else I can do. My motherboard is a Gigabyte AMD FM2+ A68H SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 mATX ATX DDR3 2133 NA Motherboards GA-F2A68HM-H which I don't know can support overclocking or is that something I should even do? I also have Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Single DDR3 1600 MT/s PC3-12800 CL9 1.5V UDIMM 240-Pin Memory as my ram but I don't know what to upgrade or what to do so I can optimize my PC so I can play at higher graphics and higher frame rates. So what should I do???

Solution
What you want as a minimum on ryzen
(The 1500x is obviously an option if you are struggling on budget)

I still say leave the GPU idea for now .
They're Still overpriced &/or OOS at the minute.
You would be surprised what the 7950 can do when paired with a decent CPU.

I was planning on upgrading my Cpu to an Athlon FX-8320 and my GPU to a Msi GTX 970 as I found good deals on them
Would that be enough of an upgrade to run games at higher graphics and framerates. Also I would need to change my MoBo. So, I know what I need to change but would this upgrade last a few years

Get a GTX 1060 6 GB card. Avoid the 3 GB version as well as the 1050 and 1050 Ti, they are worse than a GTX 970.
The 1060 6 GB is around 10% faster than a GTX 970. The problem is you won't find a GTX 1060 anywhere right now due to the miners. So if you can wait for the market to settle, you can get a 10% better GPU. Take your pick - 10% increase by waiting, or 10% slower right now.

As for the CPU, try to get a Ryzen 5 instead if you can, but then you'll need to change the motherboard and RAM as well - if you can't do it, at least get an FX-8350 and a good CPU cooler.

Aren't the FX-8350 and the FX-8320 very similar cause when I looked it up it showed they were very similar. The gtx 1050 ti is weaker then the GTX 970 though the specs are weaker it might be newer but it is less powerful

Yes they're similar, but even the tiny differences in clock speed will matter when you're playing. There's an 18% boost on average, should make a difference, maybe not a significant one, but a difference nonetheless.

Would the Gtx 1060 and the Gtx 970 make such a difference cause right now I can buy an excellent condition Gtx 970 for 140 dollars and a fx-8320 for 60 dollars cause this means I only have to change my Mobo.

Actually, you're overstating the difference. It's just a 10% difference - the 1060 will last maybe 4 months more, max. The 970 is a very capable 1080p card even today. If you can find a good card that works, it'll still run fine. 10% difference at 60 FPS means you'll get 54 FPS on a 970 where you get 60 FPS on a GTX 1060. Frankly, I won't lose sleep over it - you'll still get an enjoyable experience.

Since I am on a tight budget I might have to stick with the 8320 unless I can over come the budget

Then get at least a good CPU cooler so you can have a nice OC on it. Something like the Hyper 212 Evo, or Cryorig H7.

So how about the GPU should I wait for the prices to go down so I can get a 6 or 8gb cpu or shpuld i buy the gtx 970 rn for 140ish

Your choice. If you don't want to wait, get the 970 - it'll work fine as well. But if you want a current gen GPU with slightly better performance, then you can wait for the 1060 - it will come back earlier than AMD since the demand for AMD GPUs is more than Nvidia.

Know that you probably won't find a 1060 for 140 even then - the 970 is 10% slower for half the price. But it's used, so make sure it is still in good condition or not. I think you should go for the 970 - it's a good deal for $140, IMO.

But the 4 GB might become a limitation in the future...

Ok so that is now making me think as maybe I should wait. I found one on dell.com for 260 a Not 1060 is that good

We've been through this regarding a 970 on your other thread.

If you'd stated you already had a 7950 at the time you would have got more relevant advice.

With an 860k at medium settings a 970 or a 1060 will perform about the same as your current GPU.

While you're running a 860k you're going to be CPU limited at 1080p resolution.

He's upgrading to an FX-8320. Will it still be a bottleneck? I don't think so...

the 1500x or the 1600 (better for the extra $25 )

Youve then got a current, future proof & very powerful platform .
Itll cost you more money than an fx chip & board now but 2 years down the line youll be so so glad you wont have to even consider upgrading again.
