burned heatsink and fan failing.

hi
if someone could look at this pic and tell me whether i need a new heatsink i would be really grateful.

i think fan has failed. after cleaning with compressed air and putting back together it shuts off after two mins.

thanks so much for your response. i replaced the fan and heatsink, so both are now brand new. yet i'm still having same problem.....
anyone have an idea what might be problem?
