I own a Kaby Lake i7-7700HQ ,If I disable hyper-threading and then install windows and Linux on my computer...and wait for a BIOS update...and then turn on hyper threading...will there be a problem ? Can my OSes still use the hyper-threading feature when I enable it after installing Windows and Linux ? Can Linux and Windows still use the hyper threading feature even when you enable hyper-threading after installing them ?

Solution
There's a bug that can cause system instability in very rare circumstances. Really no reason to disable HTT at this point unless you're actually running into the problem.
