I have a ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. 970 PRO GAMING/AURA (Socket 942) motherboard.

I damaged the audio header pins :( I have tried to bend them back into the proper position, but not having any luck.

Do I need to get a new mobo now?

Solution
I would suggest that you do not try and bend them back into position, if you are not very careful they could break off. But, I think you don't have to buy another motherboard. There are options.

Are you using this header to run audio to the front panel? You could use the onboard audio connectors in the back, instead of the front routed one's.

You could purchase discrete sound card. Not sure what your setup is. Please clarify.

Yes, I was using this header to run audio to front panel. Not sure what you mean by my setup; it is gaming machine, I don't use it for professional sound production etc, or have multi screen output etc

That is more or less what I was trying to figure out. But, anyway... Your MB has an onboard audio card built in. You can use this instead of the front audio panel. Look at your MB's manual and it will show you how to set it up.
