Hello fellas,

my current rig is
Mobo : ASUS M5A97 R2.0
GPU : SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RX480 8GB OC
CPU : AMD FX-8350
PSU : CORSAIR CX600M

Now, I'm planning on an upgrade for my CPU which means also for my Mobo and thus my RAM. Since my main activity on my PC is playing games, multitasking, and rendering, I think Ryzen 1600 is a sweet option, my choice on Mobo is MSI GAMING PRO CARBON B350 because of those pretty RGB  and of course I see a lot of good reviews about it. The problem lies on the RAM, the compatibility list on the website does not list this model : CMU16GX4M2C3200C16 but instead has this : CMU32GX4M4C3200C16. The difference is only that the latter consists of 4 sticks of 8 gigs and the former, 2 sticks of 8 gigs. Would it be a problem if I get the unlisted one? And please feel free to give me suggestions on different Mobo + RAM combo or should I wait for a few months for a better model, compatibility fix, etc?. Thanks!

Solution
while 3200 ram speeds r ok with the latest bios revisions, 4x4gb config still has some no post in some boards like gigabyte gaming 3. so the safer bet is 2x8gb[i.e, fully populated ram slots has issues] . good choice of CPU n mobo ;)
