Hello everybody, firstly thank you for providing so many answers over the years. I just decided to create an account cause I have this little problem, that I'm not sure how to solve and I couldn't find any info after searching around.

So, recently I upgraded the Motherboard and CPU, but this motherboard before it reaches the Asus logo where you can press F2/Del to enter Bios, it makes a cable check for about 10 seconds, practically doubling the boot time. Basically it shows the words "HDMI", "DVI", "Displayport" and "no signal" (in that order) for 2-3 seconds each, before going to the Asus logo.

The previous motherboard wouldn't do this. Any way to disable it?

Solution
That doesn't sound like anything to do with a motherboard, that sounds like the monitor trying to verify what input is being profived.

Try setting your monitor to whichever input you're using manually, then turn on.

Thanks, it makes sense, I just thought it had something to do with the new hardware as it wasn't appearing before.

My monitor (Acer) has DP selected, which is the one I use. I don't see any other options about this, so I might have to poke Acer for further help.

I have a similar situation, i'm using the same motheboard, but when i turn it on, it takes like 5 seconds or more on a blackscreen and then i get the beep sound, after that it boots ok, but im not sure why is that happening, im sure is not the monitor, it should be like some checks of the mothebard
