What CPU should I get to match my GPU?

I'm looking to do some upgrading, and I've already started with my GPU. I have a 1050 ti and heard from someone that I'm bottlenecking it because I have an AMD FX-4300 processor. I was wondering what CPUs I should be considering replacing it with. I don't want to outdo the GPU with the new CPU I buy because I don't have a huge budget, but I would like to match my GPU's performance. Any ideas and advice would be great. Thanks!

CPU: AMD FX-4300
GPU: ASUS GeForce 1050 ti (3GB I belive but not exactly sure)
MOBO: Gigabyte AMD GA-78LMT-USB3
PSU: EVGA 700B (700W)
Plenty of space in the case for just about anything.

8GB of RAM.
Also, I found this site: http://thebottlenecker.com/#project.
Is this an accurate site? It suggested getting the FX 8120, which isn't sold anymore but while looking for one on Amazon I found that the 8350 is just over a hundred bucks. What do you think?

I used to use thebottlenecker, but the concept is flawed. Bottlenecking refers to a specific application not working as well as it could because a component in your machine limiting the rest. Without that application, all we can say is that the 1050ti is newer than the fx4300. In a game like Witcher III, for example, that primarily uses the GPU, the 4300 might not bottleneck at all. In something like GTA 5 which is more CPU heavy, you'll absolutely be bottlenecked.

With that in mind, I don't like the site very much. I think you'll be fine for a few years on the 8350 though, just don't expect to run AAA games on all ultra or something, you know?

Alright, that makes sense. Thanks for clearing up the whole idea of bottlenecking for me too, I didn't quite understand that. Sounds like the 8350 is my best bet right now. Thank you so much!

Your motherboard has very poor VRM's and is known to throttle 125w CPU's which both the FX8120 & FX8350 are. To be honest your better off saving for a completely new motherboard, CPU & RAM as any money thrown into that old platform is just a waste. Even a cheap G4560 would be a huge upgrade with decent upgrade options.

Oh wow. Alright then. Glad y'all said something before I went ahead haha. I'll probably sit on this setup for a little bit until I'm ready to do that, then, and reconsider a little later. Thanks again.
