There seems to be mixed answers everywhere I look but without explanation so I was hoping someone can offer an explanation on which one is better, I have been thinking about the gtx 1070/1080ti, but idk now if I should consider the new Vega frontier as it was described to be for content creators.

Solution
CUDA acceleration is genrally much more effective.
The Vega GPU is more for straight FP64 performance, a combination of the two in a good Nvidia card would be both better value and more cost effective.
No reason to go with Vega for your uses atm. :)
