Best processor for gaming Amd or intel

Hey everyone. Actually i'm thinking to assemble the cpu for gaming purpose only so i'm bit confuse whether to buy amd ryzen or any intel processor(i5 or higher). So please help which one is good for upcoming heavy games.
My future specs(just thinking):-

Amd ryzen 1500x
16gb ram
Nvidia 1060ti 4gb

a ryzen 1600 on a b350 is what i would suggest. dx12 and newer game engines would use ryzen better and will perform well in the future. as of now, the overclocked 7600k hold a 5-10% lead in some games and its neck n neck in most games.

I'm sorry actually i was thinking about gtx 980 at that time so just written by mistake.It's phoenix 1060ti 6gb.
Well i'm talking about like COD WW2, AS ORIGIN, etc. And no i'm thinking to buy amd but need suggestion whether amd ryzen is good or intel
