After upgrading to a Q6600 (yes, i know my computer is old but i just wanted a decent computer for cheap) i tested it out on csgo and my computer gets wore FPS, also with the old cpu i had some audio gliches and i still have them with the new cpu. i think its the RAMs fault (i only have 2GBs,) but i want to get other peoples oppinions before i spend anymore money

Did you reinstall Windows as part of your upgrade?

Also your audio is not on the CPU, your audio is on either your motherboard or a PCI board of some sort. Changing the CPU would not resolve an audio problem. Your audio problem is from your motherboard or audio card physically, or from something software related. The first would require a new part, the second would...
What was the old CPU and is the Q6600 overclocked? Limited memory (2 GB is rather low) normally doesn't cause audio glitches unless the system is swapping like crazy. What Windows version is installed and what is the memory utilization when you notice the audio glitches?

Your audio problem is from your motherboard or audio card physically, or from something software related. The first would require a new part, the second would possibly be resolved by trying new drivers or reinstalling Windows. Always a good idea to reinstall Windows when you swap in a new CPU anyway.

Your worse performance could also be instability from not reinstalling Windows after the upgrade.

Last, have you upgraded your BIOS to the latest (last, since this mobo is old) version?

Solution
Reinstalling Windows after replacing the CPU only never is required; at worst the old processors have to be deleted from Device Manager and the system rebooted to get the new processors detected.

It's not required, but it often is a decent idea, especially if you are having issues in your old install. Heck, it's a good idea to reinstall Windows every few years even if you don't replace your CPU.
