I want to buy a value cpu that will be quite good for gaming. I am about those two the

AMD FX 8350 (Octa core):https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-Black-Vishera-Clock-Turbo-x/dp/B009O7YUF6/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1498731078&sr=1-2&keywords=AMD+FX-9590
and AMD Athlon X4 860K (quad core): https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Processors/AMD-Athlon-Quad-Core-Desktop-Processor/B00MU00IOQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1498732872&sr=1-1&keywords=AMD+Athlon+X4+860K

My motherboard: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01649KMZS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1

Are those two cpu good for gaming? Is the octa core much better than the other one with double the price, is it worth ?

Major issues.... The fx 8350 is a octa core, but the link you have there is a fx 4300 which is a different CPU and quad core

Then the thing you have listed as an athlon is an 8350 which is a octa core but not different CPU from what you're calling it.

You don't have the athlon listed anywhere.

The two CPUs linked do share a socket and could be used on the same board. The two who's name you use are different sockets and require two different boards. The fx 4300 will run on any am3+ board the 8350 requires s good am3+ board or it'll run poorly due to overheating the board. The athlon 860k needs a fm2+ socket board

So none of the 3 CPUs you mentioned will work in that board. The one I mentioned will but will require a bios update (which will require a skylake CPU to be installed) to do so.

Never ever judge a gaming cpu by it's multicore passmark score. A 20core Xeon at 2.0ghz would outscore a 7700k too but that certainly doesn't mean the xeon makes a good gaming chip

so what value cpu do you suggest me under 150 pounds that is good for gaming? Also are those memories gonna work on that motherboard? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00TY6A1P0/ref=ox_sc_act_image_7?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1

No, i plan to buy items one by one, i have not bought anything yet i want to make a fast pc that will be good for gaming under 600 euros. Do i need to spend 300 euros on a cpu? Btw i already have a graphics card amd rx 460. Also i will install a 250 gb SSD, if i install games on the ssd will they run faster? Because each game may be more than 50 gb.

That motherboard won't accept ANY of the AMD Cpu's you want. But thats a good thing, because they all are not worth buying.

That board does support the Intel i3-6100, i3-7100, and Pentium G4560, all FAR FAR FAR better gaming CPUs. The memory you selected will work with it.

Compared to an i7 yes. However in gaming all are way better than any AMD processor except the new Ryzen processors (which the board you want todes not support and are beyond your budget).

Ignore the passmark scores, they have nothing to do with gaming performance.

The Pentium G4560 is the best deal of them all, but if you can get a B250 motherboard over the H110 you are getting is a better idea.

Lol you're on a i3/Pentium budget. And the day the 4560 was released no AMD processor has any place in a gaming build. Ryzen has since launched so that's no longer true.

Actually since you haven't bought the board I'd suggest a r5 1400 it fits your budget. You'll just need to change to a b350 motherboard. However I highly suggest buying everything at once. Buying s part here or there leads to an old computer when you finish. And all you do is risk tearing some part up while waiting to buy the rest tech typically gets cheaper not more expensive.

i would rather not go for amd. What are your thoughts about i5 7500? Is this worth the 80-90 euros difference than the two other @rogue Leader mentioned?

It is but loses to the cheaper 1400 in some cases already. However it's over your 150 budget too. I still HIGHLY Suggest not building over time. If it takes you 2-3 months to get all the parts. A new Intel cpu line will be out, new gpu from both Nvidia and AMD and you'll be locked in to old stuff.

I will buy them all in once, so if i go for amd it is like 150 pounds though the g4560 is like 70. Why would i choose the ryzen you mention over the i5 7th generation?
