Hi all,

Graphics: R9-280x
CPU: i5 4690k
Monitor: BenQ XL2730 27-inch 144 Hz (don't think it has freesync?)
RAM: 16GB
Budget: £250~

I run my desktop at 1440p 144hz but I game in 1080p or lower resolutions.
I am not a hardcore gamer, very casual actually - mostly playing playerunknown battlegrounds (the main reason I want to upgrade my card).

Apart from that I do a lot of multimedia stuff, programming, web browsing, etc and run a dual monitor setup with a benq 24".

I don't plan to play many games in 1440p so I was thinking that a 1060 or 580 would suffice.

Can anyone recommend a good choice of card?

The MSI RX 580 8GB GAMING X is around £270 on amazon.
The MSI 1060 GAMING X is around £300.
But I don't want to really spend more than £200-250.

Are any other cards viable? I would love a 1070 but it's just slightly out of my price bracket at £350-400.

Would love to hear any suggestions, thanks!

Solution
RX580 ONLY 270 QID ON AMAZON.... Wow... guess there aren't any coin miners in England... they are unavailable on new market and over 500$ in the used market in the usa.

if your only playing in 1080p yes the 1060 makes sense, thought if you indeed can get a RX 580 at that price, I would grab it but the RX 480 would be just as good.
