Hi Everyone

Its my first post so be gentle haha. I recently dropped my WD My Passport Ultra 1TB USB 3.0 while unpowered, and now its data transfer rates are so low. Im currently using software to transfer the files over, currently 200GB of family photos and Videos, been on since 2pm yesterday and under halfway through. The drive is recognised without problems and files can be accessed. It seemed to go pear shaped after i deleted a 16gb Mame folder.

Personally i would recover whatever you possibly can, and get another drive. Maybe one with a shockproof case if you are going to be transporting it. I think you have been really lucky to get it to work after the drop!

Good luck!
