Right off the bat I want to make it clear that I've tried all the simple stuff like cleanung up all the dust, resocketing everything that has a socket, carefully examining all the contacts to make sure there's no bad/missing/dusty ones etc, made sure to power everything.
So my PC had been working properly for around half a year until I left it on for around 30 minutes this morning and when I came back the screen was frozen. That's when the things got bad. Rebooting only made the fans spin but the monitor kept it's "sleep" mode (it indicates that it has power and doesn't indicate no signal, yet doesn't turn on like it should).
So I did all the easy steps really fast and they had no effect. Then when I tried to plug the monitor cable into MB to use the onboard GPU it didn't work first, then it worked after some tries. Then I turned it off, extracted my GPU and it turns on rather reliably.
So in a nutshell - my pc works as usual, provided I use onboard GPU. It may or may not turn on if the proper GPU is plugged in, otherwise loads up rather reliably. If I attempt to load it up like usual with GPU installed and monitor cable plugged into GPU instead of MB the monitor keeps trolling me by simply not turning on.
I suspect either GPU malfunction or bad slot.
Not sure if needed but specs are:
MB: AsRock N68-VS3 UCC
CPU: AMD Phenoim II X4 955 BE
GPU: ASUS GeForce 730
PSU: Aerocool Strike-X 500W
(Don't ask how I ended up with such config, I'm actually confused myself xD)
