Hi so I installed a new GPU but during the process since the GPU was so big I had to remove an internet wlan card that was attached to the motherboard. So I installed the new GPU but I had to buy a usb wifi to replace the wlan card. I noticed when I entered the game, the graphics looked fantastic but I was getting alot of lag. Could this be because I switched out the source of internet connection? Are wlan cards always better than wifi usbs? Should I buy a better wifi usb? The one I have at the moment is 150/433 mbps.

Play a single player, not online, game. Do you get 'lag'? If so, it is a videocard issue. If you only get lag on internet games, it's a wi-fi issue. A direct cable connection is best, a wi-fi card is second best, and a USB wi-fi stick is for 'it's this or nothing' situations- where gaming is concerned. So you may need to buy a different, better USB adapter since not all of them are equal. Some come with separate antennas, look into that. Also, try and maximize your wi-fi signal buy moving the router around if you can. Good placement can be all the difference.
Well that sounds like a 802.11n card. What kind was the one you had? Also, do you have access to an Ethernet connection? What speed are you suppose to get? Go to speedof.me and run a test

Open command prompt and type this: ping -n 20 8.8.8.8.
