So I've just picked up a EVGA Geforce GTX 1060 card and when I come to install it on my Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2PV (Rev 2.1) motherboard I'm just getting a black screen.

I'm on Windows 10 64-Bit. I've got a I5 3300 3GHz 8GB of ram
I have a 500W power supply. Fan's turning on the card when I've got it plugged in.
I've tried upgrading the BIOS to the FId version (2014/02/27) which is apparently the most up to date version for the motherboard.
I've pre-installed the correct drivers for the card.

Now if I leave it for a while it has come up once using the basic windows graphics settings, but when I looked in the device manager there was no Display Adapter shown.

So is there anything else I should be looking at trying here?

Thanks

"I've pre-installed the correct drivers for the card."

you cant do this

take the card out, and boot with the built in going into windows safe mode

you need to clean off the drivers with DDU

turn off pc

install the card again, hook the monitor to it

then install the drivers AFTER you boot into windows
