system build any good

Hi all

I was wondering whether this is a good build for a PC.

• AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (should I stick to this or go for 1600X)

Do you think the 1600x would end up being a better value in the future with updates or something?

• GTX 1080TI FE

got it real cheap, also the reason why I'm deciding to upgrade now. I was planning to wait for Vega

• MSI - X370 GAMING PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard

Any recommendations for a cheaper one, or something better for around the same price. I get confused with mobos

• Corsair - Vengeance LPX 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory

ill buy one module then upgrade with another one later on

• EVGA 750 W GQ Series ATX Modular Power Supply with Active PFC

Second question: do you guys think I can test out the GTX 1080TI on my current build, or play some games before I upgrade. I don’t want to end up frying the new card, although I do need to see if the GPU is functioning properly and stuff.

My current build is

• intel I5 2500
• gigabyte HA65M-D2H-B3 mobo
• Antec high current gamer continuous power 620W PSU
• Kingston hyperX 8 GB ddr3 ram

Thanks

Solution
The Antec HCG you have is fantastic.
Water cooling isn't useful on Ryzen, won't get you cooling to the point where you get extra performance.
The motherboard is also the same, if not worse.
Get this.

I picked a differant PSU as the 750W is odd due to the 1080ti works at 600~650w and SLI 800w. You could try using the Antec as those are good quality.

Yea I might upgrade to a 850w,

the antec is bronze rated kinda wanna do my bit for the environment, you think the following are any good:

EVGA 850 W GQ Series ATX Modular Power Supply with Active PFC

or

Corsair - RMx 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Updated my build to:
• HyperX Savage DDR4 HX430C15SB2/8 8 GB 3000 MHz DDR4 CL15 DIMM XMP
• MSI X370 GAMING PLUS AM4 AMD RYZEN /7th Gen A-Series DDR4 GB LAN CF/SLI ATX Motherboard - Black
• AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Desktop CPU - AM4/Hex Core/GHz/16MB/65W
• EVGA 850 W GQ Series ATX Modular Power Supply with Active PFC or Thermaltake 850W Toughpower Grand RGB Gold Power supply/PSU
Can get this all for £490

What do you guys think

You don't need more than a solid 550w, that's overkill.
Spend a bit more for the 1700, it'll go a long way.
X370 isn't worth it in your range either.
