First of all this a is a Samsung s5 G900T GSM unlocked. This phone get super hot in matter of 3- minutes. I only have a few essential apps. Clash Royale, snapchat, dumpster in case u accidentally delete photos, SwiftKey, Instagram, Google photos, and whatsapp. That's it but idk what is wrong with the phone and why it heats up. I currently have greenish and its going nothing but I cannot uninstall it a use it won't let me. I downloaded gsam battery app to see what it is cause my battery life drains when my phone is hot. It's mainly android OS and system. I wiped cache partition several times, I have factory reset the phone 10+ times in all the time I have had it because of issues and the heating issue wouldn't go away. Location services is off and battery saving mode is on. Please help me. Im going to try to sell this phone because if all the trouble it had given me but for the time being, I need it to be running fast, cool, and have a good batter life.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know how to reply so I'm doing this. I bought a 2nd battery from Amazon. It's the original Samsung battery. I have android 6.0.1 marshmallow. I have updated software, my battery would be good if the phone wouldn't overheat. Display settings are always either at lowest or a bit higher from lowest. The phone just overheats and then the phone gets super hot.

It's just the nature of the phone at this stage, my iphone 5 did the same thing, software is just becoming too intensive for its specs, my phone would turn into a bloody toaster, especially in the summer.
I just ended up upgrading to the S8, you're about due for a phone upgrade anyway, it's easily the best phone i've ever used, and the fingerprint scanner is no big deal.

I don't think I'm going to be able to get a new phone for a while. I don't have the money but the phone shouldn't be overheating. I have an app and the highest it ever said was 108F and when I put the palm of my hand or the back of my hand on the phone, it was very hot. I feel like it gets hotter than an xbobx 360 or something pretty hot. I don't know how to compare it but it should never get hot. The phone is fine until it gets hot, and thats when the problems start. I think if I fix the overheating problem, then the phone will be fine.

Maybe it's not that hot because it's from the app but when I lay my hand on the screen of the phone, it's feels like it's burning. I'm 100% sure it shouldn't be that hot. Trust me. Is there no way that there might be an app from the system I could disable that could be making it hot??
