I have gotten a gtx 1050 ti recently, and i have thought it would be a good idea since its the new "budget" card and is pretty powerful for it's price. Since i have bought it, i've been getting worse fps on some games then my old graphics card which is a gtx 750 ti. It's gotten so bad that I can't even run minecraft it drops to 3 sometimes on low. And, tf2 cant even be playable, bf1 I used to play it with this card now it lags, it used to get like 90 fps on bf1 and now it is 30 fps.... With this same card it lags on bf1..... Did something burn out in my pc? i have recently removed a PNY ram stick because it didnt match my 2 corsair 4x2 vegances. Rust is completely unplayable, such as other games listed. Overwatch runs fine on medium or ultra. about 100 fps.

Specs:
FX 8350 Proccesor
h100i v2 Water cooler
GTX 1050 ti
8gb ram (used to be 12)
PSU of 750 watts
m5a99fx motherboard

Someone please help me. Probs a bottleneck or my cpu is dying.

I doubt there's any problem with the CPU. And the 1050 Ti should be a noticeable improvement over the 750 Ti.

Any other changes you made when you swapped cards? Uninstall the old driver and install the newest driver for the new card?

Might want to do the reverse and uninstall the 1050 + driver, re-install the 750 + driver and see if the problem still exists.

Are you sure its not the cpu or ram because alot of crap has been going on today with technical issues. My screen half of went black (brand new monitor) and everything was glitching out Csgo only got 20 fps max even i did fps_max 300 and it was doing anything everything was on low and this still happened. My pc is just dying.

RAM would be a lot more possible than the CPU. I've lived thru a ton of CPUs and never had one fail that I didn't cause to fail by reckless OC'ing. Have you ever...
1) run Malwarebytes to see if you have some malware eating resources?
2) run CCleaner to clean up registry errors, junk files, and other resource-wasting crap?
3) disabled stuff that's running in the background while gaming?

I've had a 2 year old laptop that was a Geforce 840m not even GTX and I could run a lot of games like GTA5 and Batman Archam City surprisingly at HD resolution with decent frame rates not less than 17 and 4K videos at 60 fps , but then i wanted an upgrade that can deal with VR stuff more efficiently so i bought a laptop based on that very same graphics card you have and i did notice i couldn't achieve near similar results to what i had with the 840m , I tried everything but here are few conclusions , this thing heats crazier than 840m version and when it heats it slows down significantly , i had to buy a specific cooling pad and side mounted fan before it started to lag a little less than as is and perform nearly equal to my 840m , a friend came up to me with the same problem after but with a different brand of laptop so i realized this is normal for this model of GPUs , but she had a weirder symptom , that if she took the graphics settings of the game to low level the game starts to lag but yet if she boost it all the way it starts performing better , we kinda came to a conclusion that somehow either the driver is poorly written or this thing kinda offloads some of its processes to CPU maybe as a mean to solve the heating issue but kicks in when more graphics processing is demanded , so basically what i am saying here is yes , the issue you are talking about is noticed and the only options you have are more cooling and better tweaking to game settings but not to the low quality side but to rather the higher one and see how it goes .

Deleted every single driver for my graphics card, and installed the latest one. A little bit of improvement, not much... Csgo is still at 30-54 fps on lowest settings, overwatch has insane amounts of fps drops from 130 to 40 (On lowest settings) Tbh im just going to buy a new motherboard, cpu , and ram.
Is there any good cpu thats pretty cheap rn? such as a motherboard and ram also?
