Nvidia Volta release date? Go!

nvidia move to new architecture roughly in two years time.

Fermi - 2010
Kepler - 2012
Maxwell - 2014
Pascal - 2016
Volta -2018(?)

well there are talks about nvidia might holding Volta back because lack of competition from AMD but stuff like this has been speculated a lot. for example some people speculate 1080ti pricing will move towards 800-900 but we also heard something similar for 980ti. for what ever reason for the flagship nvidia still did not charge more than $700 since 2013. one thing for sure though nvidia know they can let their guard when it comes to AMD. because time and time again AMD try to hit...
My money's on early next year based on the releases, and currently stable demand to keep producing 10xx series cards, they'll probably want to get more out of the node given the well developed yields and lack of current competition by AMD towards 80% of their market. The only place where AMD has a foothold is the RX 580 atm.
