My Wifi adapter times out doing anything other than light web surfing. I run a ping in CMD and any time I open a video on Youtube, start downloading a file, etc, the pings transition to a perpetual request timed out. Is there any way to fix it?

I know it's only my PC/Wifi adapter thats on the fritz, because my Macbook and Galaxy S7 have no problem with the wifi whatsoever.

Solution
I think this is the power saving option, might just be a setting - check in the Device Manager, right click the Wi-Fi adapter's Properties - Power Management. You should be able to Un-tick "Allow the computer to turn this device off to save power", click Apply and then Ok. Hopefully that solves the issue.

Hi Bexjor, I wish this was the answer, I'm pretty on top of checking the device properties in device manager constantly!
