I'm currently on Windows 7 Professional. When I open Device Manager, there's 2 items under "other devices" called Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller. They both have a yellow caution logo on the side of them as if they're not updated or they're not working properly. I tried to right click on both of them and click update but Windows didn't allow me to update them automatically. Can someone help me resolve this issue? Thanks.

Get chipset driver and USB driver from motherboard support web site (or laptop support web site, if we are talking about a laptop).
You should always include technical info about your computer in problem description.

My motherboard is the ASUS z270e gaming motherboard. Can you link me to exactly what I'm supposed to install? Thank you.
