Hello, I'm looking to buy a 144hz monitor (acer xf240h)and I was wondering if my setup could handle it.

I7-4790k, msi z97 g5 mobo, 8gb g.skill ram, 1tb hdd, evga gtx960 sc 2gb, 750w ps.

I mainly play cs go and can run high settings and get 300+ fps steadily. Will my computer be able to use the 144hz to full advantage?

Solution

Yep, you will take advantage of the 144Hz (at least on CS:GO)

Just two things:
- The monitor is a FreeSync and that technology only works with AMD cards, you could not use the FreeSync with your card.
- The gtx960 will not allow to get 144Hz on modern games on max, on those you will need to loose the 144Hz or use reduce settings.
