I had recently gotten a new motherboard and a new proceessor (i5 7500) (z270-d3 by gigabyte) and when upgrading the motherboard I also had to purchase new Ram. I got a single stick on 8gb ddr4. Once everything was installed and up and running my pc isn't getting the performance it shouldnit terms of gaming. I have a 1070 and the i5 7500 I've watched videos on YouTube of people with the same specs getting way more fps than me, do you think it's because of the single stick of ram? Thanks in advance for your responses

i dont know my psu (no sticker on it) but in task manager the usage of my cpu is normal while gaming as well as my gpu. but how ever when gaming my memory is at 75 + %. thats why i wanna think thats its because im using single channel memory

I don't know. Your memory is still DDR4, so really, I don't think going to dual channel will make a huge difference. But, if it is happening when your memory usage gets to 75%, it could still be the PSU not being enough. When under a load, if you don't have enough watts, you will start throttling components.

Is this a stock power supply? What brand and model PC is it?
