I found this standard plain green ram stick with 8 gb and a corsair vengeance 8gb stick. Should I use em together?

I put em in my system and it detects 16 gb but whats the precautions?

Also does it matter what order I put them in the slots? Like, corsair first or the faster speed one first for example?

Solution
if they will work together its perfectly fine.
I would test their ability to remain stable with a run through memtest86 for a pass or three or overnight.
if you get no errors and the system is stable. you are good.

the problem is there is no real way to know if they will work until you test them.
if they are different speeds one, the fastest, will/should revert to the slowest sticks settings. running at different settings is why you will want to test the modules

In all likelyhood, they won't "dance" well together. If you're lucky, they will - just make sure do as R_1 told you. Run memetest. When you buy a kit, for instance 2x4GB, those modules were matched in the factory by a manufaturer.

There are also many more factors which affect stability and how well these 2 modules will work together: memory die manifacturer (eg. 1 may be samsung the other one sk hynix), different voltage regulators, speed, timings, single or dual sided (rank)...
