Hey guys today I bought 16GB Ram Memory (HyperX Predator). I overclocked it to 3200Mhz and i am getting timings of 16-18-18-36, are those good numbers ? I can overclock it to 3000Mhz and get better speed though, what are your suggestions ?

Thanks in advance ! :)

Solution
For gaming lower timings are always better then higher speed. If your crunching numbers, doing cad, or rendering stuff then higher speeds are better then timings.

Well I am doing all-around honestly. Creating/Rendering 4K videos and playing games :) So yeah I will switch between and see what fits better tho. Recently upgraded my rig, got GTX 1080 Ti FE (OC), Ryzen 7 1700x (OC), 16GB Predator DD4 3200Mhz, V8 Cooler Master, NZXT H440 Case, Predator 1440p 165hz monitor..I went all in with this build so I'm just trying to get maximum out of it :)

In all honetsy, I believe you could notice more benefits from a faster ram in synthetic tasks, than from timings in gaming.

Presonally (and this is really a hypothetical estimation), I'd rather "shave off" 5 minutes in rendering and finish it in 45 instead 50 minutes, than have 88 instead of 84 average fps.

The main thing is that you are using Ryzen 1700X. You should actually gain more from faster RAM in all scenarios, because Infinity Fabric is ticking at RAM speed.
