uninstalling comodo firewall leaves no wired or wireless access (admin access denied too)

i noticed last week that the comodo icon wasnt in the tray and when i rebooted it kept saying something to do with comodo was not installed right and it tried to do it but then said it cannot reach the internet to do it. which is crazy because all else was fine. and wanted to note if i leave things alone the internet is fine but then i have no firewall because windows firewall would have to be started manually. the action center says no firewalls are on.

so i wanted to uninstall comodo and start fresh but when i do i lose all wired and wireless access to the internet but i keep the router signal just fine to the laptop.

i may be misremembeing but i tried all this this week:

uninstalling all adapters under network in device manager and reboot

getting to cmd (admin) is difficult. you cannot do windows X and run it from there nor hit windows and right click on cmd to run as admin. just wont work. you have to go to task manager and hit run and cmd 'as an admin' check that box

i tried all kind of things like ipconfig renew refresh or a bunch of other things i found on the net . commands beginning with netsh. tried this so many times

i tried using both comodo and Revo to uninstall comodo, same result, no internet

some suggestions say to into wifi properties and uncheck the comodo driver or the ipv6 or 4 but i cannot access properties at all, they are greyed out.

i tried stopping all comodo services and rebooting

i'm just perplexed why uninstalling something kills all internet access. i should also mention even when i restore my C drive so the internet works again. i cannot get into the properties to change any wifi settings either. the properties button is greyed out.

thanks for the reply. i forgot to say i have win 8.1

i will post the results of IP tonight as well as event viewer messages, when i get home from work. i do remember one error message that wifi doesnt have a valid IP configuration. also that when i tried changing wifi properties it says one window or something is already open (trying to uncheck the ipv6 box).

i now notice avira task bar icon shows real time protection but in the program itself it shows real time cannot be activated. even in safe mode. i downloaded avast and will see if i can run it

malwarebytes runs and shows nothing. i was able to go in safe mode and delete the comodo driver at last. waiting for avast to get done before doing anything else

i'm deleted avira and put avast on the machine. i'm running it and also continuing to do malwarebytes. also running eset as we speak. hopefully something works out. so far i havent tried to uninstall comodo. just letting it sit.

i think without avira the machine is running quicker but maybe my imagination

also in safe mode i was able to delete comodo driver from the properties tab

time and date are good
