Both look like great options, with the memory I would advise 1600 or 1866 2x4 GB kits over just buying a new module, though if you do decide to buy a module to add, be sure it's 4GB DDR3(not L) 1600. I don't have any details on latency and it's generally not advisable to mix ram latency.
