Hi guys..just looking for thoughts/ideas for building a gaming console on a budget.

My idea is to have something that will fit in a media center tray..not overheat easy but run games in 1080p medium to high settings..

Possible? Any ideas are welcome! Doing for fun!

Yes..a htpc.. More like hhtpc lol. Must be horizontal.. A lot of home theatre pcs are still upright.

Looking for ideas and discussion and mobos..cpus..gpus..ram..and cooling. At a bargain..say even used ebay items :D

Those cases I linked are all either only horizontal, or can be horizontal or vertical, and just just shown in images vertically because it gives you a better view of the case.

Give us a budget and we can see what you can afford.

HTPC cases get very expensive, you don't have the budget for nicer ones.
You may be able to find used HP/Dell office PCs that can be laid horizontally and are wide enough to support a GPu on ebay. but their motherboards won't be compatible with the latest modern GPUs.
