Help me! First Build.

Hi, i've spent my last days trying to gather information about building my own PC and after hundreds of videos i came to this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jcvQQV

What i'm looking for is an opinion on the build, specifically on if i'm overkilling on any component. The first thing i picked was the CPU based on the fact that i will be gaming/streaming/editing. The rest was really based on ratings and what i've read and watch from videos. My main objective is to be able to play every game on at least 1080p with high settings, having good fps's, while streaming.

Is there anything i should change? Maybe i can achieve all of this with a cheaper GPU or Power Supply? My knowledge about all of this is still very slim so... Help me :D

this is overkill, but a bit unbalanced. Not sure why the 212X is being used much..but let's go with Ryzen as it offers extra cores to get a more stabled stream for less the price. Also, if you are trying to get a GTX 1060, they are seriously overpriced..if you don't mind spending $300-400 then go for it! However, the better VALUE would be to spend the $500 and get a GTX 1080. Not sure what you budget is, but it will definitely help with gaming and editing as well. It will crush any 1080p at high settings, and even 1440p as well.

Again no sure what your budget is, but here is a nice $1500 PC.

If $1500 is too much, consider the GTX 1080. Still a solid build all around.

Here you go. 6 cores, 12 threads for the extra power for editing and streaming. Plus it's still u nder $1200 and 1080p and 1440p should be handled easily. You can overclock if you want, but not necessary.

Build is good with high quality components.
For overclocking R5 1600 and GTX1080 I think you should go with Corsair CXM650 to have better headroom and to have PSU under less stress.

My take on a ryzen 1600 build.

Herc08's build above is good .
The only provisos I have is that the 1080 turbo is a noisy ******* & that price relies on $50 of rebates.

Either way you should go ryzen 1600 over an i7 for gaimg+streaming.

I would agree, but this build probably will not surpass 400w, so 550 is plenty. Even with overclocking, I don't think the PSU would be less efficient since there is still headroom. With the gold rating, efficiency is really good here.

Yes it will not cause any kind of problem even under stress but when it is overclocked it will surely be under 80%+ load which I try to avoid if possible. But that wouldn't cause any kind of problem. Well on the plus side it comes with 10Yr warranty so no need to buy new PSU for future upgrades.

Here is some cost cutting if need options.
