The GTX 1050 Ti should be fine in either PC, but the cards do not have to be low profile. It fits any full height card.
But don't low profile cards use less wattage? The power supply on both of them only has 275 watts, so I'm guessing I should preserve it, unless I am wrong?
No, it is not the low profile/full height that determines the wattage demanded by the card. It is the card it self. ANY GTX reference speed card will draw the same load. Basically, all GTX 1050 Ti are 75W (TDP) cards except those that are factory OC'ed and have a 6-pin header requiring an aux. power source.
Look on your PSU's nameplate. It should say that it has 2 x +12V rails rated for 17 amp and 10 amp, capable of supplying 240W. That is sufficient for any GTX 1050 Ti that does not require a 6-pin adapter. And from my experience, Dell PSUs are slightly under-rated.
