For some reason, Kali doesn't fully boot anymore. It was working just fine a week ago, but now whenever I start the vbox, after the option to boot or go into advanced options, I get a black screen with:

/dev/sda1 clean: 452165/4221654 files, 3544568/16045698 blocks
[ 10.6549872] intel_rapl: no valid rapl domains found in package 0

I tried enabled PAE/NX and disabled hot-pluggable.

Can someone help?

I'd suggest that you wait until you get to college before playing around with Kali. There you can be taught, under supervision, how to use this potentially dangerous tool. It can cause problems in inexperienced hands.

Well I am going to college for cybersecurity and I'm taking a pen-testing course where Kali on a Vbox is what they use.

Actually I encourage you to use Kali -- a great way to learn is to break things then fix them. Just don't be irresponsible and capture packets in networks or crack passwords that aren't yours.

Make a new Kali VM, look at the baseline setting that allow it to work properly, then compare it to the settings on your current Kali VM. From there, change your settings one-by-one and see what breaks. Be sure to document each change you make no matter how insignificant.

P.S. Get a respectable cert like the OSCP, and avoid the CEH, as it's pretty much a joke among cybersecurity experts.

Good luck!
