Decent PC build? (<$1600 NZD)

Hi, I need help with building a PC. To be more specific; choosing the parts. I already have a GTX 1050 ti put away so GPU is out of the way. I don't have a specified budget but I would like the build to be somewhere around <1600 just for the sake of not having to spend my mom's credit card and getting the PC a bit faster.

This is the current build I have in mind:

Not to be fussy but for more of an aesthetic reason, I would like to keep the color scheme to two colors, moreover red and black for YT reasons and personal preference.

Any suggestions or upgrades would be grateful! (This PC itself is going to be used for gaming, editing, and possible streams).

Well, imo Intel is better for streaming. I use to stream daily and had no issues. You have a big budget, go for an i7 6700k or i7 7700k if you're not gonna go for overclock then just get the locked. I don't know of any micro ATX black and red mobos so I can't help you there. But Yeah, I'd go for an intel processor.

Optimized with better parts all around, specially SSD and PSU. A little over your budget but much much better build which is going to last you much longer than the build you have listed. If you wanna cut some cost, i would recommend not to compromise on parts quality but activate Windows down the line... https://www.howtogeek.com/244678/you-dont-need-a-product-key-to-install-and-use-windows-10/

I have been told that and I have considered getting an i7 and though my budget is big, I am not sure whether I have enough time to get all of this money to get even the cheapest, I will keep looking into i7's and possibly sell my GPU for a 1060 or RX470

The budget is ok, thanks for the help! May I just ask if this is going to be any good down the road, say 2-3 years from now and will I need to upgrade to something a little more modern, such as upgrading the 1050ti to a 1070 or such?

That was precisely the idea behind the build. The base of the build is strong enough to last you around 4-5 yrs easily. In a year or two if you upgrade to a more powerful graphics card, the build will be more optimized all around, for the next 3-4 yrs.
Also Intel is better for pure gaming. If you have editing and streaming in mind too, Ryzen will shine above Intel to give you a more enhanced blended output.

That is why I said IMO, because honestly I like Intel more for streaming. I never run into issues. You ever stream on your i7 7700k? Because I stream on my i7 6700k and I can stream for 8 hours no dropped frames, fps, or any lag issues.

No I've never streamed. I have a 6Mbps internet connection, fastest available in my area:(.. Never tried it but didn't think it would turn out very well.

I just remember the Ryzen showcase AMD did versus the 7700K and the Ryzen beat it in streaming.

Yeah, but I bet if Intel did a showcase it would beat Ryzen. A more unbiased showcase would be better to look at.

> His budget is in NZD, not USD. In NZD, 7700K is not affordable at that budget.
> If 7700k lasts for 4 yrs with 145 fps along with streaming, the 1600 will last 6 yrs with 115 fps with equally good streaming due to the extra 2 cores. Beyond 60fps to 80fps, the difference is not even visible to the naked eye unless you place a counter on your screen.
> Where Ryzen will shine is the editing part, again due to the higher core count.
> As games are starting to use more cores and threads, the 1600 will outlast the 7700k. Even Intel is shifting to 6 cores in its mainstream lineup from the next iteration of Coffee Lake.
> The blended performance of Ryzen is anyday better than the 7700k. Check out the recent benches after the latest BIOS release.

Really? Didn't know, you got a link to this info. I think I might get into Ryzen then.

Until Coffee Lake, Ryzen is a better deal apart from pure FPS requirement like esports games. After Coffee Lake comes, things will become more interesting.
