Best SSD FOR OS AND GAMES

Solution

Well...this depends.
How much total used space is on the current HDD?
What, exactly, does this constitute? I'm assuming mostly games?

If the total current used space is significantly below the size of the new SSD, you can probably clone the whole thing over.
For instance, if your total used space on the current drive is below 200GB, and you are getting a 250GB drive...then you can probably clone it over to the SSD.

If it is more than that...we have to do some investigation.

Install and run WinDirStat. This will help...

For the OS and application drive, either the Samsung 850EVO 250GB, or the Crucial MX300 275GB.

Either one of those will work.

Those are the two best that I would recommend.

I have 2 of the 850 EVO's...1 at 500GB and 1 at 250GB.
If I needed another SSD, I would not hesitate to get the Crucial as an alternative.
