I am in the market for upgrading my computer and was just wondering what components of my computer should be upgraded and which are fine for gaming. My current build is as follows:

Geforce GTX 760 for GPU

Intel i5-4690K @ 3.5ghz for CPU

16gb's of Corsair vengeance DDR3 1866 mhz for RAM

MSI Z97 Gaming 5 for Motherboard

750 Watt Peak ATX power supply

Another piece of my computer that I would really like to upgrade is my cpu fan because I believe I just have a stock one, I had my computer built in a store so I did not pick the fan. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If any more information on my specs is needed tell me as I am new to this forum thing. Thank you everyone! :)

If your case has the typical 160mm height available for a cooler, I suggest the scythe kotetsu, about $35.
It is not well known, but is a very effective cooler htat is better and quieter than the popular hyper212.
It competes with the top quality noctua NH-U12s.

I installed one in my Son's PC and liked it very much.

With such a cooler, and your motherboard, you can conservatively overclock to 4.0.

What is the make/model of your psu?
If it is a cheap unit, consider replacing it.

Seasonic is always good.

If your usage is gaming, you can buy a stronger graphics card.

If you are going to upgrade anything rn I would go for a better PSU and GPU. I would go for something along the lines of a RX 580. They might not be in stock so a GTX 1070 would be good. For a PSU I would choose the Seasonic S12ii 620W for around 50 dollars. For a cheap CPU cooler I would choose the Cooler Master Hyper T4 or 212 EVO

Thank you for the information, I really appreciate it .I will look into those. Do you have any suggestions for more expensive CPU coolers or PSU's? Just so if my price range allows it I can pick up some better parts that will be relevant for longer. :)

Three tiers or better on tom's GPU hierarchy list:

That would be A gtx1060 OR gtx1070.

If your psu is a good one, it can handle even a gtx1080TI.

FWIW

I will never again build without a ssd for the "C" drive. It makes everything you do much quicker.
120gb is minimum, it will hold the os and a handful of games.
But, many things default to the "C" drive.
When a SSD nears full, it will lose performance and endurance.
240gb is the recommended minimum.

If you can go 240gb, or 500gb you may never need a hard drive.

Samsung EVO is a good choice for performance and reliability.

Lastly, consider a good monitor.
Perhaps a 27" 1440P unit.
Keep your old monitor as a side monitor fro email, monitors and such.
It will not hurt the gaming.
