I want to upgrade my 256 SSD in my lenovo. Right now it is a m.2 SATA SSD. The Laptop should be able to take a PCIe NVME SSD as it can be purchased with a 512GB NVME. However, I am wondering if there is a max capacity for storage in PCIe. Lenovo's website says that the max is 512gb NVME PCIe. But is that Just the max it ships with? Can it be upgraded higher?

One Last question, What setting would I change in the bios to use PCIe instead of M.2 SATA?

As I have the same problem I'd be interested in you experience. Did the 1TB drive work?
Thanks Mario

If you want to copy your old ssd to the new one you may encounter some issues, but if you just install the pci-e ssd and reinstall windows, everything works just fine. I installed the 1 TB and there were no issues.
