I'm thinking of buying a used hard drive, Since I'm in a tight budget. Should i risk it and get a used hard drive saving a couple bucks and worring that it might die or play it safe and spend extra money. do you think is worth risking it or should I just get a new Hard drive.

Well, if you can afford to do so, I would recommend buying new. Unless you know the owner of that used hard drive, you don't know how much it has been used, or if it has been having any problems or not. That used drive may be perfectly fine, but how can you be sure?
It's the most crucial part of a PC, if that used HDD has been dropped or kicked or whatever involving a shock, it's speed might be DRASTICALLY reduced, to a point where your PC will be unusable. Why would someone sell a HDD? They're so cheap for the 1TB versions.
