Here's the problem:
My MSi motherboard is beeping three times when my PC is turned on. According to this forum post, three beeps means bad RAM so I looked around and decided to give in and buy new RAM to replace the old one. I installed it but now it's still beeping.
And here's some background:
So a while ago, my HDD was corrupted so I backed it up onto an external hard drive and replaced it with a new internal HDD. While I was screwing with that, I came across some really old RAM that my brother had used back in the early thousands and stupidly said, "Hey, I always have space for extra RAM" and stuck it into my computer. So then it had a new HDD, but it started beeping. I hadn't checked if the really old RAM was compatible with my motherboard so I immediately took those out, thinking that would stop the mother board from beeping. But it still beeped even with the original RAM still in there. I tried it out in different spots but beeped every time. So, then I guess I assumed that somehow the really old RAM had corrupted the original RAM and therefore bought new RAM. But nothing's been fixed.
Now, I'm guessing it's just a problem with the motherboard but I wanted to get your all's opinion first before just start buying things wantonly like I have been.
