Hello, I have a B150 M3 Gaming MOBO, and just bought a PNY 250GB M.2 SSD. I used to have my OS, on my HDD, and want to intstall it on my SSD. When I install the SSD no drives come up. Any help??

Solution

its normal for it to not show up anywhere, to be on the safe side, unplug your other hard drives so that only the M.2 drive is installed and go ahead and run the Windows installer from USB or CD/DVD whatever you are using to install windows, the windows setup should see the drive fine, once windows has finished installing and comes to the first reboot, remove the USB key / DVD but boot straight to the bios, the M.2 drive should now appear in boot devices as Windows Boot Manager.

The issue here is its not really an SATA drive as such...

The issue here is its not really an SATA drive as such as its running directly on the PCI-e lanes on the motherboard, so although you are looking for it in the bios under SATA drives, that list only applies to drives that are plugged into the actual SATA ports on your motherboard.
