Does my Graphics Card need more power?

I'm kind of new to the whole computer thing. I've been trying to add this new graphics card my friend gave me to my computer, (Note: My computer has no graphics card currently in it before this one.) I looked the requirements up of the card and it says I needed 450W of power. I have a 450W Power supply. Do I need more power to run this card?

When I plug the card in all the fans and lights turn on but nothing comes on screen. Is it due to the lack of power?

Processor : Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G4560
Graphics Card: XFX R7700 Series Ghost Thermal Tech
RAM: 8GB (2.93 GB usable)
32-bit operating system
Windows 7 Enterprise
Power Supply: I couldn't find much on this but it's a Powerman that has a 450W output.

the R7700 for XFX needs to have a 6 pin connector plug in it from power supply , have you done this.?

the cable can be 6 pin or a 6 +2 pin cable from your power supply.

if your power supply does not have this connector, you may need to change/upgrade your power supply.

Look,where is your cable connected?is it from the mother board to the screen or graphic card to the screen?
When you plug a graphic card into the mother board,then you should plug it into the graphic card's sockets.only that it would work.it doesn't look like the power supply can't supply the power.because 450 is a lot.
Now if the mother board works with out the graphic card,then take it off and plug it normally.power it up and download a power watt calculator.or online you can check.
With that you check how many watts your whole build need with out your GPU,and check hoe many watts your GPU needs on the internet.and da da,there is your result of how much watts you need.

Hi, Paladin. I could't seem to find this power supply plug in on mine. Am I missing something? Mine just has a little black box with no input where that one has the power connector.

lower power supplies or older generational ones may not have such a cable
look at your label again and see the model number should be in this area identified in red on image

My model number is a IP-S450CQ2-0 H G

When I said I couldn't find the power input, I meant on the graphics card. Mine doesn't have one. Is something wrong?

your R7700 doesn't have a 6 pin power connect on the end of the video card ?

I own 2 myself and they both have them... its on the opposite end of the video connectors.

No, can't find one. The only places I see that can have anything inserted into it is on the back where you plug in the DVI. Still then, none for a 6 pin power connector.

you can try to go to bios and make sure in integrated hardware - video your default is set to pcie or auto. and save/reboot
