I have the Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2*16) DDR4 3000, X370 gaming pro carbon
I changed the DDR speed from 2133 to 2933 in the bios and every time after that the system would not boot, i have already clear CMOS. I would like to know if theres a way for the frequency to be set to 2933 and be able to boot.

Solution
If the system is not able to Boot into windows then list the Part No of your RAM and I will check see if your RAM is compatible with your MB and what DRAM settings you may try. Unfortunately I do not have the same MB as you so much of it is going to be trial and error.

Do not exceed DRAM 1.4V atm till I know more info. You can also look up your SPD info in Windows from CPUz under the SPD and Memory tabs instead of the XMP profile which may not work. These settings in DRAM timing control (set manually in Bios) may have a better chance of stability. You can get your SPD Info from> DIMMx Memory SPD in Bios (write them down) then go to Bios OC>Advanced DRAM Configuration.

You can check to see if your RAM is on the MSI QVL list of tested...
Hi kfwuqnr :)

As you're using MSI MB then I would update your Bios using M-Flash to latest if not already done so.
Update 7A32v15 for better Memory capability go here: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/X370-GAMING-PRO-CARBON.html
There are 6 OC profiles to choose from in Bios. Choose to try the best to suit your RAM OC.

You may still have to Tweak your DRAM SPD manually in Bios as 3000Mhz is considered an OC. or if you're lucky the XMP profile or D.O.C.P settings will take. Minor DRAM voltage increase can help.

Still not working... i first used the XMP and did not boot, then i set it manually and it did not work, then by Memory Try it option and did not work. I set the voltage to 1.4 (1.35 normal) do i have to increase it?
